Arrive Toulouse and transfer to the first night's refuge. In the afternoon early evening, practice resections, fixing position in area around the refuge. In the evening there will be a brief on Day 2's evolutions, a chance to plan routes, fill in route cards etc.
Navigation exercise to the next refuge, stopping occasionally so everyone can practice position fixing, map to ground recognition etc. Each person will be in charge for a different leg of the journey, so everyone will get a chance (or maybe 2) to practice following the route plotted. The day's route could be along a marked trail, as it's more of a confidence builder to make sure everyone's happy with plotting timing/ pacing/ map to ground recognition etc.
Navigation exercises, such as timed circuits, finding targets etc. Return to refuge in evening.
Medical workshop followed by navigation exercise to survival exercise site. This will be followed by a lesson on fieldcraft / shelter building, principles of survival etc. The night will be spent in the field in make shift shelters.
Transfers from survival site where you will be transported to showers & clean clothes etc. The rest of day will be spent relaxing in Toulouse or Carcassonne, including team meal at restaurant, prior to catching evening flight home.
